International Matrimonial Property Law

Since year 2019 the EU Matrimonial Property Regulation has come into force. Most EU
countries including Sweden have adopted that Regulation.

However, for marriages concluded before January 29 th 2019 national IP rules are still in force when it comes to the applicable law (if the comple haven’t set up a choice of law agreement after the mentioned date).
