Processing of personal data - information according to the Data Protection Regulation (2016/679/EC)

In order to strengthen the individual’s protection of personal data, Europe’s new EU regulation GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) entered into force on 25 May 2018.

Bergquist & Partners Advokatbyrå AB is the personal data controller for the personal data regarding contact persons we receive in connection with assignments or that are otherwise processed when the assignment is prepared or administered. You are not obliged to provide us with personal data, but without this happening, we cannot undertake an assignment because we cannot carry out the necessary fraud and money laundering control. We process the data to carry out mandatory anti-money laundering and (where applicable) money laundering checks, to carry out and administer the assignment, to safeguard your interests, for accounting and invoicing purposes.

When we have assignments as executor, estate administrator, agent, property division executor, we register personal data such as name, address, email address and telephone number. We need this information to be able to fulfill our tasks within each assignment.

The personal data controller is Bergquist & Partners Advokatbyrå AB (org. no. 556339-0243), Drottninggatan 61, 3tr, 111 21 Stockholm as we process personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

We will not disclose personal data to third parties except in cases where it has been specifically agreed between the law firm and you, as it is necessary within the framework of a certain assignment to safeguard your rights, if it is necessary for us to fulfill a statutory obligation or to comply with a decision of an authority or a decision of a court, or
in the event that we employ external service providers who carry out assignments on our behalf. The data may be disclosed to courts, authorities, counterparties and counterparty representatives if it is necessary to safeguard your rights or fulfill our mission.

The personal data is stored, in accordance with the obligation incumbent on Bergquist & Partners Advokatbyrå AB according to the Guiding Rules for good legal practice, for a period of ten years from the date of completion of the case, or the longer period called for by the nature of the case.

You have the right to request free of charge information from Bergquist & Partners Advokatbyrå AB about the use of the personal data concerning you. We will, at your request or on our own initiative, correct or delete information that is incorrect or limit the processing of such information.

If you are dissatisfied with our treatment, you can submit a complaint to a supervisory authority, which in Sweden is the Data Inspectorate (www.datainspektionen.se). You can also contact the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.
